The Japan Educational Research Promotion Association (JERPA) has changed its name to the 'International Education Support Evaluation Association'.
The Japan Education Research Promotion Association (JERPA) changed its organization name to the "International Education Support & Assessment Association (IESAA)" in May 2026. This name change aims to clarify the areas of activity the association will focus on in the future, such as education support, international learning assessment, and the creation of future-oriented education, while also looking toward global development.
JERPA has so far focused its activities on learning support and educational research. However, in response to the advent of the AI era and the widening international educational disparities, we have determined that it is necessary not only to conduct "educational research in Japan" but also to provide educational support and international evaluations that support children and young people around the world. Therefore, we have newly adopted the name International Education Support and Assessment Association (IESAA) as a name that more accurately reflects the organization's philosophy and scope of activities.
Providing educational support and evaluation across borders.
Supporting children and young people whose learning is easily interrupted due to economic disparities, regional disparities, disasters, and other factors.
Develop a world-standard learning assessment (international certification) and create a system that accurately measures the skills needed for the future.
An open organization where young people, educators, communities, businesses, and government collaborate.
Establishment of internationally standardized learning assessments (examinations)
Expansion of educational support projects
Provision of a system to secure learning opportunities during disasters
Promotion of youth-led educational innovation
Collaboration with domestic and international educational institutions, local governments, and companies
We want to create a world where everyone who wishes to learn can do so, regardless of age or environment.
To achieve this, we have established the International Association for Educational Support and Evaluation as a new association focused on educational support and international assessment.
From here, we will promote educational systems that are recognized worldwide.
